Since our Urban Bourbon Half Marathon is meant for those age 21 or older, you must be at least 21 on race day to register.

On Saturday night after your half marathon, enjoy a four-course bourbon-themed dinner at Fourth Street Live’s newest restaurant, Whiskey Dry. Owned and operated by internationallyrenowned chef and Louisville native Edward Lee, Whiskey Dry features a Southern-inspired menu and more than 200 whiskeys from around the world. Stay tuned for a menu reveal in summer 2018.
The Bourbon Bash at Fourth Street Live! will be held from 9:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. Race participants can enjoy a sampling of bourbons from a number of Kentucky Bourbon Trail distillers. You will also enjoy Bearno’s Pizza, Falls City beer, and plenty of prize and photo opportunities. The popular local band the Louisville Crashers will perform.
Guest admission to the Bourbon Bash is $30 and can be purchased online during registration, at packet pick-up,and on race day. Packet pick-up and race day purchases are cash only.
Sour Mash Tours – Louisville’s first and only walking bourbon tasting experience – leads guests through detailed tastings at some of the city’s premier establishments for drinking bourbon. Participants will learn about what goes into making each sample taste unique, all while becoming acquainted with one of Louisville’s most vibrant neighborhoods. Bourbon beginners will start to find their favorite styles and brands, while connoisseurs will refine their palates by picking out subtle differences and flavor profiles in their bourbon samples. Each tour spans three stops in Nulu, all within easy walking distance of each other, and includes nine samples of bourbon in a lineup that is curated specifically to maximize the experience. This $60 value is available to UBHM participants for only $45! Tours begin in Nulu at 2 p.m. on race day. Available to the first 45 purchasers.
Participants in the Urban Bourbon Half Marathon presented by Jim Beam® – and others wishing to join in a unique entertainment experience – can score a custom-made, collectible cloisonne pin. The pins are to commemorate the Urban Bourbon Walk in downtown Louisville on Oct. 20. Runners can show their finisher’s medal and make a purchase to receive a custom pin from participating Urban Bourbon Trail establishments. Race management will release the names of all restaurants/bars in the months leading up to the race.
